Good afternoon and thank you for taking the time to listen to my business opportunity this evening. My name is Laura Siciliano and I am the founder of Laura's, a new breakfast place in Gainesville, Florida. Gainesville is a college town with a lot of hungry students. Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of breakfast places close to campus, so students are forced to fend for themselves or drive far away. That is where I come in. I am going to be opening a new breakfast place where students can enjoy traditional breakfast and brunch food in a friendly environment. I hope that you see the same opportunity in this restaurant as I do and will join me in this opportunity.

Hi Laura I like the idea of adding a restaurant in Gainesville. There's definitely no shortage of potential customers, and even if you have a bad year, next year you'll have a whole bunch of brand new potential customers. I guess that goes the other way too, every year you could lose a lot of loyal customers as they move on from UF if they're not local. One thing I can say is... smile. It'll help show your confidence in your pitch and that you're excited to be starting the business. Check out my elevator pitch from an actual elevator here.
ReplyDeleteHello Laura,
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of implementing a new breakfast restaurant in Gainesville. However, I think that your pitch could have been a little more descriptive. I feel like if you go further into this idea and think about what factors can really make up your business you'd go a long way. Hey Laura!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that there are hardly any breakfast restaurants close to campus and that there may be potential in owning one! Depending if you restaurant is open all day long is the real question because most college students don't get up in time for breakfast.
